New album: “Permission to Feel”

A follow up to last year’s “Entropy” album featuring solo performances on guitar, tape, electronics, and synthesizers.

I was doom scrolling one morning and read an article about self-care, which contained the phrase “give yourself permission to feel”. It sounded trite, but it also struck a nerve. Family losses and pandemic anxieties have been a lot to work through, and I’m still sorting it out.

Finding dropped ice cream cones was a recurring theme during the pandemic, and they visually summed up how the last several years felt for me – a candy-colored end of innocence.

I don’t think I’d call this a guitar record, it might be more of a cinematic experience, or a collection of mood-setting tracks.
